Power of one colour

For this week's blog I have used a stamp from my 'Huge' words collection FRS237 Huge Friend. I worked on watercolour paper, stamping and embossing the word first using white powder. I sprayed the whole image and background then went in with a water brush to smooth out the colour within the letters. I've doodled in the letters using a white glaze pen.

Woodware - On the Farm

Hello Dorothy here for Francoise.

This week Woodware's theme is on the farm here is Francoise's take on it..
Here we have an easel card made with The Garden Tots

He looks as if he is off to plant some carrots doesn't he? Francoise has coloured him with the new Koi Brush pens

The words have been cleverly made to stand up by folding the card into a support. It is a very useful set of words  designed by Francoise Little Messages. I love the little chickens foraging about.

A very cute little taking a trip down on the farm!

Thanks for visiting see you soon!

For my contribution I have used one of Nathalie Kalbach designs. I have created layers of colour using a KaleidaColour ink pad and clear embossing powder. I have sponged and stamped using the ink from the 'Spectrum' ink pad.
I have also used the stencil which comes with the set of stamps both on the tag and the folded card.
Here you can see the resist created by the clear embossing powder. So some areas are very shiny and others are matt.

The flower is made up of 4 flowers held together by a brad. I sponged some clear ink on the flower and dipped it in clear embossing powder. I followed that by sprinkling some Frantage shabby pink embossing powder on the brad and mainly the first flower.

Yes! It's that time of year again! The time when we inspire crafters on both sides of the "pond" with a mix of both Dreamweaver and Woodware UK* products for the holidays! Six days, SIX, of beautiful, elegant, merry, cute, artsy, and craftsy projects to have you heading out to your local stores or internet sites to buy these goodies immediately!
This week I have made a bright card as I was getting ready for my trip to Stonleigh to the Great British Craft Show. Thank you to everybody that said hello it was a great show.
I have mixed stamps and stencils in this card.
The stamp is Blooming Heart I have has coloured vibrantly and cut around it and mounted it on foam pads.
The stencil makes a great background panel. The stencil is called Crusade and is a large background stencil which I have used just a small section of. That is one of the great things about stencils the ease that you can use portions of them. I have pressure embossed the stencil through my machine, and outlined with a Sakura Micron pen and then coloured with Sakura glaze pens.
Of course, there will be prizes as well. Three prize packages will be given to three commenters during this week's posts on the team's blogs, including five stencils and one nested die set. You can have an opportunity to win these goodies by leaving some holiday sweetness for each team member posting each day, to be one of the three winners for the week. Here are the team members that are inspiring you today:

Dreamweaver and Woodware UK: Christmas in August...

Welcome to the annual Dreamweaver and Woodware Christmas in August extravaganza week! Monday through Saturday we will be knocking your Christmas stockings off with fun and inspirational ideas for the upcoming holidays. All that you need to do is hop back and forth across the “pond” on each day, oohing and aaahhhing as you go, and leaving us plenty of holiday love. In return, you’ll be entered to randomly win one prize package for a UK commenter, and a second prize package for a US commenter, featuring products distributed in the UK by Woodware…including Dreamweaver and Stampendous!

 Here is my creation;

I have chosen to tangle the stencils using Sakura Micron pen. I have added some mini 3mm elements which were clear but I have coloured them with my peel off's pens to make little red berries. Some Woodware tartan ribbon completes the card!

Woodware Challange - White...

Hello Dorothy here today with some of Francoise stamps with a white themed project.

I have used Francoise's new Butterfly Medley Clear Magic set,

I have stamped them with Clearsnap Frost White pigment ink and embossed with clear powder. I hope that you can see the texture in the photograph, the detail on the stamp has been lost, but I like the textured effect that I have got. I punched the flowers from stamped images too to give the texture. the gems are from a clear alphabet set of crystals, I love them as they are so tiny.

The words are Francoise Most Wonderful Birthday single set and I have stamped in white again and embossed it with clear, on one of the vellum tags. The small butterfly has been embossed with  Shabby White powder.

I finished it off with some 15mm organza ribbon and ric rac ribbon.

Woodware Design Team Design - Working with vellum

Christmas I hear you say!! Well I wanted to show you how to combine Peel Off's with vellum.

I used silver Peel Off's which I changed to blue using a Peel Off pen.

The Peel Off's was stuck to some vellum. I trimmed around the image and working from the back I embossed the candle and holly. This makes the vellum go white
